- CREATE A DIFFERENT MOOD FROM ARTIFICIAL PUBLIC SPACE BY KEEPING THE STRONG ARTIFICIAL LIGHTING EFFECT, CONTRAST WITH NATURAL FEELING.
Use light tone, soft linen fabric and wooden furniture, to contrast the artificial feeling of lighting effect and make it cozier.
(see plan in gallery page) the whole area is divided into six equal pieces. One piece in the middle left is toilets and shower rooms.
The other five pieces can be adjustable to meet customers’ various requirements. They are connected by pivot doors or sliding doors.
From planning, customers could enjoy panoramic view from both sides.
According to design direction, the space is a mix of the strong artificial lighting effect together with natural feeling from the loose furniture.
In this space, the lighting effect is the same technique as in the lobby in the public residential area. The featured lighting effect appears all along the wall A (see plan in gallery page). As the wall A is visible from every space, the lighting effect can be easily seen in everywhere. The wall A is matte and glossy marble in vertical striped pattern. Other walls are made of grey tiles, similar to the floor material in order to highlight the lighting effect on the wall A.
To maintain the concept and mood consistency,
most of furniture and lighting fixtures are custom design.
From the requirement, bleached wooden furniture is simplified from atelier-inspired furniture. Every shelf, in harmony with the wall, is subtle and made of white thin metal plates with white metal tubes.
As a result of the light experiment, pendants and decorative items are made of prisms to create the intense lighting effect.
WALL TYPE A
To have the lighting effect on the wall, the prisms and the light sources are installed in the ceiling slot. Only their effect appears on matte and glossy striped pattern of the marble wall. From the experiment, THE LIGHTING PATTERN DEPENDS ON THE COMPOSITION OF PRISMS, THE LOCATION AND THE DISTANCE BETWEEN EACH LIGHT SOURCE.
